Landshire Recalls Sub Sandwiches: Listeria monocytogenes

Landshire, Inc. (Belleville, IL) announced last week that it was recalling Lot No. 21882 of its"Fresh From The Deli" brand American Sub sandwiches, after the Ohio Department of Agriculture detected Listeria monocytogenes in one of the sandwiches during routine retail-level surveillance sampling.

The sandwiches were sold in Circle K convenience stores in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The contaminated sample was collected at the Circle K store located at 36391 Vine Street, Willoughby, OH on August 18th.

No illnesses have been reported, and the company has suspended production and distribution until the source of the contamination is found and corrected.
