Underprocessed Kidney Beans Recalled in UK

The UK Food Standards Agency has advised consumers that Dalepak Foods is recalling three kidney bean products due to underprocessing. The kidney beans may contain lectin, a naturally occurring chemical which can trigger classic symptoms of food poisoning – nausea, diarrhea and vomiting.

The recalled items are sold in several supermarket chains, and are described as follows:

Dalepak requests that consumers return the products for a full refund.
