Europe
  • Food Safety Recall (Ireland): Kenmare Bay Seafoods recalls Kenmare Bay Mussels with White Wine and Shallot Sauce, 400g (use by 14/09/2010) and Kenmare Bay Mussels in Marinade of Honey and Herb, 400g (use by 14/09/2010), due to diarrhetic shellfish poisoning toxin. The toxic mussels were harvest from Ardgroom, County Cork on 24/08/2010. Food business operators who have sold these chilled cooked mussels have been asked to display a Point of Sale notice advising consumers not to eat the affected mussels.
  • Food Safety Recall (Finland): Alfmix, Ltd. recalls Den Lille Notte Fabriken Salatmix nut-seed mixture (best before 03/19/2011; Lot 0203) due to deteriorating hygienic quality. The Chinese-manufactured product has been on sale in 28 of the K-Group Citymarket and supermarket stores. Consumers are asked to discard the contents of the packages and return the empty product packages to Alfmix for a credit.
