United States
  • Allergy Alert: Mekong Fresh Meats (Mosinee, WI) recalls approximately 29,893 pounds of cured uncooked pork ginger sausages because they contain undeclared wheat.The recalled sausages were produced between June 21, 2010 and September 21, 2010 and distributed to retail establishments in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
  • Food Safety Alert: New York State Agriculture Commissioner warns consumers not to eat Dried Fish sold by Heng Yen Food Inc. (New York, NY) and by K&S Market Inc. (Brooklyn, NY) because the product was found to be uneviscerated and has the potential to be contaminated with spores of Clostridium botulinum.
  • Consumer Product Safety Recall: Pfizer Consumer Healthcare recalls ThermaCare® HeatWraps Menstrual (lot E06831; Exp. Date 8/2012) after finding a potential for a leak of the components contained in the wrap, which could cause skin irritation or burn. The recalled lot was distributed in the United States and Puerto Rico. No other lots of this product are affected.


Europe
  • Food Safety Recall (Ireland): Bragan Spring Water Company Limited (Co. Monaghan) recalls Bragan Spring Water, 1 liter bottles (Best Before end December 2010) due to the presence of enterococci, an indicator of fecal contamination. The recalled product was distributed in and around the Monaghan area only.

Asia, Africa and the Pacific Islands
  • Pharmaceutical Product Safety Recall (Hong Kong): Christo Pharmaceuticals (Guangzhou) Company Limited recalls Cimedine Tablet, 400mg (batch number S081121; registration number HK-40956) after the product fails the dissolution test. The Department of Health initiated its test after receiving a complaint about the effectiveness of the product.


Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Consumer Product Safety Recall: Pfizer Consumer Healthcare recalls ThermaCare® HeatWraps Menstrual (lot E06831; Exp. Date 8/2012) after finding a potential for a leak of the components contained in the wrap, which could cause skin irritation or burn. The recalled lot was distributed in the United States and Puerto Rico. No other lots of this product are affected.
