FLASH. Salmonella Enteritidis Found in Feed Supplied to Egg Farms

FDA has found Salmonella Enteritidis matching the outbreak genetic profile in environmental samples from two egg farms. FDA also has recovered the same Salmonella Enteritidis strain from samples of feed supplied to Wright County Egg and Hillandale Farms of Iowa.

This information was just announced during a telephone news conference held jointly by FDA, CFSAN and CDC.
