United States
  • Allergy Alert: VanLaw Food Products, Inc. recalls VALU TIME brand Ranch Dressing with code date of Use by APR 21 11, because the back label was mislabeled with VALU TIME Light Ranch Dressing and is missing an egg allergen declaration. The recalled dressing was distributed to a limited number of Save Mart/Food Maxx stores located in Northern California.


Europe
  • Food Safety Recall (Republic of Ireland): Superquinn recalls Forest Feast Nuts and Seeds - Sesame Seeds (Batch code 008814965; Best before December 2010), imported from China and packed by Kestrel Foods Ltd., because the sesame seeds are contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled product was sold in Superquinn supermarkets.
  • Food Safety Recall (Republic of Ireland): Independent Irish Health Foods Ltd. recalls Organic Sesame Seeds and Organic Four Seed Mix (batches from 100329 to 100507, best before 11/03/2011 to 07/05/2011 inclusive), containing organic sesame seeds imported from Bolivia, because the seeds are contaminated with Salmonella Anatum.
  • Food Safety Recall (Denmark): I/S Gobi vin recalls Rosé, Orsan 2009 (Bag in box, 3 liters) and White wine, Orsan Chardonnay 2009 (Bag in Box, 3 liters) because of gas production in the the wine. The recalled items were sold in Super Best stores across Denmark.
  • Food Safety Recall (Denmark): Leighton Foods A/S recalls Antica Cantina tortilla wraps because of mold growth in some packages. The tortilla wraps were sold in Liva, Spar, Kiwi, Super Best, ABC low cost, S / Wholesale, Letkøb stores.
  • Food Safety Recall (Denmark): Nestlé Denmark recalls Nescafé Espresso Instant Coffee in 100g glass packaging because the product may contain glass fragments.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0616): Listeria monocytogenes in smoked salmon from Poland; distributed in Germany.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0617): Unauthorised colours Rhodamine B and Orange II in sweet fennel seeds from Pakistan; distributed in the United Kingdom.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0618): Chlormequat (pesticide) in grapes from India, via the Netherlands; distributed in Lithuania.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0619): Mercury in thawed bluntnose six-gill shark and emperor angelfish from South Korea, via Spain; distributed in Italy.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0620): Glass fragments in instant coffee from Greece; distributed in Greece.
  • Animal Feed Safety Notification (EU #2010.0621): Salmonella Senftenberg in feed for chickens from Belgium; distributed in Belgium and France.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0622): Unauthorised import of frozen seafood from the Gambia; distributed in France and the United Kingdom.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0623): Insect larvae in rice from Italy; distributed in Colombia, Italy and the United Kingdom.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0624): Listeria monocytogenes in smoked Atlantic salmon from Belgium; distributed in Luxembourg under the Winny brand.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0625): Chlormequat (pesticide) in grapes from India, via the Netherlands and via the Czech Republic; distributed in Slovakia.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0626): Glass fragments in Nescafé instant coffee from France; distributed in many European countries, in Canada and in Singapore.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.0627): Salmonella anatum in pork fat from Italy; distributed in Denmark.
