United States

• Food Safety Recall: Buehlers recalls all lots of Mr. Dell's and Our Family brands of Hash Brown potatoes because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The Hash Browns are manufactured by Mr. Dell Foods, Inc.

Canada

• Food Safety Recall: Sobey's Inc. (Mississauga, ON), recalls Compliments brand Italian Blend salad mix, sold in 284 g (10 oz.) packages bearing UPC 68820 10093 and a Best Before Date of 10JA18. The imported salad mix – recalled because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes – was distributed in Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Europe

• Food Safety Recall (Belgium): Vleeswaren Peeters recalls several turkey salami products due to presence of bone fragments. Consumers are asked to return the recalled items to the store for a full refund.

Asia, Africa & The Pacific

• Cosmetic Product Safety Alert (Philippines): The Bureau of Food and Drugs announces seizure of three cosmetic products because they contain excessive levels of mercury.
• Unauthorized Pharmaceutical Safety Alert (Philippines): The Bureau of Food and Drugs announces seizure of unregistered sex enhancement products that present an imminent danger of injury to consumers.
