United States

• FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Mid South Produce Distributors, LLC (Nashville, TN) that a February 2010 inspection of the company's food processing facility revealed serious violations of Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.

Canada

• Consumer Product Safety Recall: Worldwide Food Distributor (Concord, ON) and Dollarama Inc. (Montreal, QC) Recall Dr. Bob Dentel Antibacterial Peppermint Mouthwash because the mouthwash is contaminated with Pseudomonas fluorescens, which may cause abscesses if introduced into open wounds, and may have more serious complications in people with weakened immune systems. The recalled mouthwash was sold in Dollarama stores across Canada from June 2006 to March 2010.

Europe

• Consumer Product Safety Recall (France): The Central Laboratory of the Prefecture of Police announces the recall of traditional Kohl cosmetics (unknown brand name), due to the presence of lead in the products. The recalled cosmetic products, which were imported from Maghreb, the Middle East, India and Pakistan, were sold in ethnic boutiques or purchased abroad.
