Recall Roundup: December 6, 2009

Here is today's list of food safety recalls, product withdrawals and allergy alerts. The live links will take you directly to the official recall notices and company news releases that contain detailed information for each recall and alert.



United States
  • Allergy Alert: College Inn, a subsidiary of Del Monte Foods Company, recalls all date codes of College Inn® No MSG Chicken Broth (Individual 14 1/2 oz cans only), due to the presence of undeclared wheat. Also, the product label incorrectly states that the broth does not contain MSG.


Canada
  • Consumer Product Recall: Enesco Canada recalls certain RaceORama Cars Glazed Dinner Plates after Health Canada determines that the glaze used on some of the plates may contain lead and cadmium in excess of the allowable limits.


Europe
  • Consumer Product Recall (France): Out Of The Blue rubber duck squeaky bath toy recalled because the product contains more than 0,1% di-n-octyl phthalates (DNOP). DNOP and other phthalates are prohibited in toys that infants or children may put into their mouths.
