Recall Roundup: December 3, 2009

Here is today's list of food safety recalls, product withdrawals and allergy alerts. The live links will take you directly to the official recall notices and company news releases that contain detailed information for each recall and alert.



United States
  • Allergy Alert: Sunny Lake Trading Inc. (Brooklyn, NY) recalls Radix Polygonati Officinalis (a Chinese herb) because it contains undeclared sulfites. The recalled Product of China was sold in 12-ounce, uncoded clear plastic bags throughout New York State.


Canada
  • Food Safety Recall: Liberté Natural Foods Ltd. (Brampton, ON) recalls two Western brand Cream Cheese products (Best before DE 28) that may be contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled products were distributed in Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. No associated illnesses have been reported.
