United States
  • FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Registry Steaks and Seafood Ltd. (Bridgeview, IL) that a series of inspections of the company's seafood processing facility carried out in 2009 has revealed serious violations of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act) and associated regulations.

  • Food Safety Recall: Roy Fruits et L├ęgumes Inc. (Asbestos, QC) recalls BBQ Peanuts, sold in bulk, because the peanuts may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Asia, Africa and the Pacific Islands
  • Dietary Supplement Safety Recall (Hong Kong): The Department of Health warns the public not to purchase or use a slimming product named "Kartien Easy to Slim" as it was found to contain undeclared western drug ingredients that may cause serious side effects.
