United States
  • FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Registry Steaks and Seafood Ltd. (Bridgeview, IL) that a series of inspections of the company's seafood processing facility carried out in 2009 has revealed serious violations of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act) and associated regulations.

Canada
  • Food Safety Recall: Roy Fruits et Légumes Inc. (Asbestos, QC) recalls BBQ Peanuts, sold in bulk, because the peanuts may be contaminated with Salmonella.


Asia, Africa and the Pacific Islands
  • Dietary Supplement Safety Recall (Hong Kong): The Department of Health warns the public not to purchase or use a slimming product named "Kartien Easy to Slim" as it was found to contain undeclared western drug ingredients that may cause serious side effects.
