Recall Roundup: August 4, 2009

Here is today's list of food safety recalls, product withdrawals and allergy alerts. The live links will take you directly to the official recall notices and company news releases that contain detailed information for each recall and alert.



United States
  • Personal Care Products Seized: US Marshals, acting on behalf of FDA, have seized Skin Sanitizer and Protectant Products made by Clarcon Biological Chemical Laboratory Inc. after the company refused to destroy the previously recalled products

Canada
  • Food Safety Recall: Maple Leaf Foods recalls certain Hygrade, Shopsy's, Maple Leaf, and Maple Leaf Top Dogs brands of frankfurters and wieners due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled products were manufactured at the Maple Leaf facility located at 21 Brockley Drive, Hamilton, ON, L8E 3C3 (Est. No. 611) and were distributed across Canada.
