The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Hong Kong Centre for Food Safety have issued a health hazard alert to consumers. The notices warn consumers to avoid consuming two brands of pear juice for toddlers that may contain arsenic.
The products being recalled in both Canada and Hong Kong are "President’s Choice Organics Pear Juice from Concentrate for Toddlers" and "Beech Nut Pear Juice from concentrate with Vitamin C added". The pear juice is sold in Canada through Loblaw's supermarkets. There is no mention of the product's country of origin
Please refer to the health hazard alert notices for details of lot code and expiration date. Do not consume these products.
