Europe
  • Allergy Alert (EU #2009.1327): Traces of milk ingredient in cooked ham from Spain; distributed in Spain and Andorra
  • Food Safety Recall (EU #2009.1329): Listeria monocytogenes in vacuum-packed ham from Poland; distributed in Republic of Ireland
  • Food Safety Alert (EU #2009.1330): Metal fragments in fruit yoghurts from Germany; distributed in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, (The Former Yugoslav Republic of) Macedonia, and Slovakia



Asia, Africa & The Pacific
  • Dietary Supplement Alert (Taiwan): Taiwan Department of Health advises that over-the-counter weight loss products that contain phenolphthalein or Sibutramine are not approved for sale. Consumers are urged to avoid using these products, as they are being sold illegally and their use may result in serious side-effects.
