- Allergy Alert: Hannaford Supermarkets and Sweetbay Supermarket withdraw Taste of Inspirations Vegetable Spring Rolls (produced by Original Rangoon of Massachusetts) from its freezer cases because the rolls may contain shrimp, which was not listed on the ingredient panel.
- Food Safety Recall: Vatran's Fine Foods, Inc. Tracy, CA) recalls approximately 11,500 pounds of assorted meat and poultry products because they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection.
- Food Safety Recall: TGF Production LLC (Brooklyn, NY) recalls Herring Salted (product of Russia) because the product was found to be uneviscerated. The sale of uneviscerated fish is prohibited under the New York State Agriculture and Markets regulations, because of the viscera may contain spores of Clostridium botulinum.
