Mouthwash Recalled

FDA is advising consumers that Hydrox Labs has recalled its Cardinal Health Alcohol-Free mouthwash due to bacterial contamination. The mouthwash was distributed to hospitals, medical centers and long-term care facilities nationwide.

The recalled mouthwash contains Burkholderia cepacia, a microbe that may cause serious respiratory illness in people with cystic fibrosis or in other individuals who are immuno-compromised or in poor health. At least one state has reported illnesses linked to this mouthwash.

The recalled product is identified as Alcohol-Free Mouthwash, Cardinal Health, 4 oz., lot number 26228. If you have been given this product by a health-care provider, please do not use it.
