United States
  • Food Safety Recall: MS Fish Corp (Brooklyn, NY) recalls Ossie's Schmaltz Herring (12 oz plastic container; Code 2/0311) due to contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled item was distributed throughout New York State.
  • Food Safety Recall: Circle City Marketing and Distributing, d.b.a. Candy Dynamics (Indianapolis, IN) recalls all lots and flavors of Toxic Waste® brand Nuclear Sludge® Chew Bars, 0.7 oz/20g (Product of Pakistan) after the California Department of Public Health detects elevated levels of lead in the cherry flavor of the product.
  • FDA Food Safety Enforcement Action: At the request of FDA, the US Department of Justice has filed a complaint for permanent injunction against Mystical One LLC (Jamaica, NY) and its owners to prevent the company from processing and distributing juice and other products. Violations cited by FDA include the following brands and products: Fresh Carrot Juice, Magnum Food Drink, Pineapple Ginger Drink, Sorrel & Ginger, Sea Moss, and Peanut Punch.
  • Alcohol Wipes/Swabs Recall Update: Triad Group, Inc. advises that the following brands are affected by its recent recall in the USA and Canada of alcohol wipes and swabs: Best Choice, Care One, CVS, Discount Drug Mart, Equaline, Equate, Exchange Select, Exact, Good Neighbor, Good Sense, Healthcare, Healthy Generations, Kroger, Leader, Life Brand, Longs, Major, Meijer, Medicine Shoppe, Personelle, Publix, Premier Value, Quality Choice, Rite Aid, Reli-On, Remedy RX, Rexall, Safeway, Shoppers Drug, Sunmark, Up&Up, Top Care, Triad, Triad Sterile, Uniprix, Valu Plus, Western Family, and Walgreens.


Canada
  • Alcohol Wipes/Swabs Recall Update: Triad Group, Inc. advises that the following brands are affected by its recent recall in the USA and Canada of alcohol wipes and swabs: Best Choice, Care One, CVS, Discount Drug Mart, Equaline, Equate, Exchange Select, Exact, Good Neighbor, Good Sense, Healthcare, Healthy Generations, Kroger, Leader, Life Brand, Longs, Major, Meijer, Medicine Shoppe, Personelle, Publix, Premier Value, Quality Choice, Rite Aid, Reli-On, Remedy RX, Rexall, Safeway, Shoppers Drug, Sunmark, Up&Up, Top Care, Triad, Triad Sterile, Uniprix, Valu Plus, Western Family, and Walgreens.
  • Food Safety Recall: Entreprises G.A. Leblanc inc, d.b.a. Metro (Chénéville, QC) recalls a number of preserved foods packed in Mason-type glass jars (Packed on date up to and including 31 décembre 2010), because the label on the products does not contain the instruction "Garder réfrigéré" (Keep refrigerated).
