  • Allergy Alert: Better Buns Inc. recalls its 22 oz package of Europa Baking Company brand 6 pack Knot Rolls because they may contain undeclared eggs. The recalled buns were sold in retail stores in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens Counties in New York State.
  • Food Safety Recall (Update): Ippolito International, LP (Salinas, CA) recalls 1,715 cartons of bunched spinach after the Michigan Department of Agriculture finds Salmonella in a sample of the spinach as part of a routine testing program. The recalled spinach was distributed to retail, foodservice and wholesale customers in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and British Columbia, Ontario and Manitoba, Canada.

  • Food Safety Alert (EU): Mycobacterium tuberculosis was detected in cattle from which milk was used to produce raw milk cheese. The German-made raw milk cheese was distributed in France, Germany, the UK and the United States.
