Canada
  • Food Safety Recall (Update): HQ Fine Foods recalls Quality Fast Food 4-Pack Quarter Pound Bacon Cheeseburger (Costco Item #166; Best before dates from Dec 3 2010 up to and including Jan 16 2011), because they product contains processed cheese slices recalled by Saputo Inc. due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.


Europe
  • Dietary Supplement Safety Alert (Denmark): The Food Administration reiterates its June 2010 warning to the public not to purchase or consume supplements from the website svenskkosttilskud.dk, because the web site offers products containing synefrin and caffeine in combination.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.1660): Salmonella Dublin in beef from Germany; distributed to Denmark.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.1661): Unauthorised sulfathiazole in honey from Romania; distributed to Italy.
  • Food Safety Notification (EU #2010.1662): Escherichia coli in clams (Vongole veraci ) from Italy; distributed to Italy and Switzerland.
