United States
  • Dietary Supplement Safety Alert: FDA warns consumers not to purchase or use Vigor-25, marketed as a natural dietary supplement to enhance male sexual performance, because the product contains sildenafil (the active prescription drug in Viagra). Sildenafil may interact with prescription drugs known as nitrates, including nitroglycerin, and can dangerously lower blood pressure. The FDA is investigating the reported death of a 26-year old man, possibly associated with the use of this product. Vigor-25 is distributed by Piston Corp and is sold on Internet sites and possibly in some retail outlets.

Canada
  • Food Safety Recall: Consumers are advised not to purchase or use Pesto du St.-Honoré, sold at Boulangerie Pâtisserie Le St.-Honoré (Rouyn-Noranda, QC), because the product was not prepared in a manner that would guarantee its microbiological safety. This advisory includes all 125mL glass jars of Pesto du St.-Honoré sold at the above-mentioned establishment up until and including November 19th.
