Bug Breaks In - Jail Locked Down

The Central East Correctional Centre in Lindsay, Ontario experienced a break-in last Thursday, and the facility has been locked down in an effort to contain the unwanted visitor.

At the moment, approximately 40 of the 1,100 inmates are suffering from what is being described as a 24-48 hour bug. Stuart McGetrick, a spokesman for the Community Safety and Correctional Services department was cagey in describing conditions to Don Peat, a reporter for Sun Media. The news report mentions symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting, but is careful to point out that Norwalk virus (a.k.a. Norovirus) has not been confirmed.
