United States
  • Food Safety Recall: WinCo Foods recalls all ground beef products sold at its Modesto, California store (2200 Plaza Parkway) between the dates of Saturday, April 3, 2010 and Friday, April 9, 2010. The company acted immediately after being informed by an independent food testing lab that a sample of this meat tested positive for E. coli O157:H7. The appropriate health and regulatory agencies have been advised of this recall.


Canada
  • Food Safety Recall: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency notifies consumers that Inovacure 14 Day Kit (1.6 kg; Code E0197) contains hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP) recalled by Basic Food Flavors and has been recalled because the HVP may be contaminated with Salmonella.
