Recall Roundup: October 1, 2009

United States
  • Pet Food Recall: Nutro Products, Inc. recalls select Nutro Ultra™ and Nutro Natural Choice® puppy foods after detecting pieces of melted plastic on the production line. The recalled packages of puppy food were distributed to PetSmart stores in California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas and New Mexico. Recalled Nutro Ultra™ puppy food also was distributed to Petco stores in California, Nevada, Hawaii and Utah.
  • Food Recall: Food City reports that Hunt's Snack Pack Fat Free Vanilla Pudding has been recalled. No details were provided.


Europe
  • Allergy Alert: Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd. recalls Sainsbury's Chicken and Creamy Basil Pasta. Due to a packaging error, the product may contain undeclared shellfish.
